Poljana and Odžak: The Last Battles in Europe in World War II

The last battle in Europe in the Second World War occurred seventeen days after VE day. The battles of Poljana and Odžak were the culmination of the Civil War that raged within the World War in Yugoslavia, and were representative of a world where local conflicts and the World War became intertwined, and competing factions fought to shift the balance in the late stages of the war.
